Training for incident command is one of the most critical responsibilities in the fire service. Yet too often, leaders and students only get limited exposure to realistic scenarios before they’re tested in the field. To bridge that gap, I’ve developed three simulator environments that bring command decision-making into a safe, controlled, and repeatable format.
• Municipal Fire Department Simulator – Designed for city and county fire services, this simulator includes residential, commercial, and public infrastructure incidents. It emphasizes coordination with EMS, law enforcement, and mutual aid partners.
• Industrial Fire Department Simulator – Built for plant-based brigades, this version focuses on chemical facilities, refineries, and manufacturing sites. It integrates specialized hazards and protocols unique to industrial environments.
• Multi-User Training Environment – Ideal for academies and large organizations, this simulator allows multiple users to engage simultaneously. It supports collaborative decision-making and simulates complex incidents with multiple command roles.
Each simulator is built to improve realism, accountability, and confidence in command performance. Whether you’re a municipal officer, an industrial brigade leader, or a training division chief, these tools provide a scalable way to prepare your teams for the challenges they’ll face.
