Most company and chief officers don’t set out to micromanage—but many end up there anyway. The pressure to perform, protect the crew, and “get it right” can quietly push good leaders into overcontrol. This workshop is about recognizing that trap—and learning how to lead out of it.

Leadership Accountability: Leading with Trust, Not Micromanagement is a practical, discussion‑driven, four‑hour workshop built for officers who want high standards and healthy crews. We’ll take an honest look at the difference between accountability and control, how our leadership habits impact morale and initiative, and what it really looks like to empower firefighters without lowering expectations.

This isn’t theory or leadership buzzwords. It’s about the everyday moments—setting expectations, giving feedback, correcting performance, and deciding when to step in and when to step back. Through real fire service examples, guided discussion, and self‑reflection, participants will walk away with tools they can use on their very next shift.
